J. Simpson Africa’s History of Huntingdon & Blair Counties (1883) is a comprehensive history of the county. Africa built on earlier work by U. J. Jones and Milton S. Lytle; the book was reprinted for the county’s Bicentennial and fully indexed, making it a valuable research tool.
